Leave and Absence - Viewing balances and transactions

It seems that the UI will not allow a HR Users to view balances and transactions (including adjustments) after the employee is termed and the Leave plans have been ended.  We need to end the leave plans or else the accrual process will keep accruing time for the terminated employees (makes no sense).  Does anyone else have this issue?  I really think that for auditing purposes, this needs to be available.  Thank you!

    HI Janice,

    I do think you are referring to a Human Resources assistant? Or is your question about the employees themselves to view the balances as part of the HR Self Service?
    What exact security role is provided to the user? Can a manager or system administrator see the leave balances?

    Hi Andre,  This is for the HR Manager and the Leave Manager roles.  If the employee is terminated and leave plans are not "ended", they can see the Leave balances in Leave and Absence module.  Once the leave plan ends, they can not see that information which is critical for auditing.

    Would you mind sharing the exact menu path you are using? I can find leave balances, but not sure what exactly you mean by the transactions.

    HR>>Employees>>Find an employee.  In the Menu go to Leave>>View Time off under the Manage Leave.  You land on the Approved time off but to the left is the menu Balances.  When an employee has Leave Plans that are not Ended, you see the list of Leave Plans and the current balances.  When you click on the Hours under the Current Balance, you will see all transactions including adjustments.  
     
    Important to Note, you cannot Set up Leave and Absence for terminated employees, it is greyed out.   
     
    If the employee is terminated but has leave plans that are not ended they keep accruing leave.  You have to End the Leave Plan.  
     
    If you end the leave plan, you can no longer see the balances.
     
    We have to be able to see the balances and the transactions for auditing purposes.  I am working on a Power BI to assist with this but it would be nice for the UI to work for the users.
