Hi,
The main source to learn customizations via extension model now is using SampleExtensions from Retail SDK - you can analyze code and understand the concepts. Also information on web can be helpful: docs.microsoft.com/.../retail-sdk-overview

Hi I have done Receipt Customization for CPOS using the new retail extensibility framework.
It is pretty much the same as it was in AX 2012, except that the major change is the "ext" schema in channel database which is now used in extension framework and the deployment process.
Both of these changes are mentioned in Microsoft's Technet blogs.
