Hello,

I have a request to see if the Company dropdown list order can be edited.  The company maintenance screen sorts them by id, however they are in a different order in the Company dropdown.

RE: SL Change order of Company dropdown list

The "switch company" area in the upper toolbar shows the most used companies first. This is by design. I don't think there's really a way to change this.

    You can mess around, though.

The "most recently used" company list is actually a cache file located somewhere in the file system. It should be located in %APPDATA%\Microsoft Dynamics SL\MenuCache. There's also an option to control how many companies are showed. The "More companies" button does show the company list in alphabetical order, so in theory you could keep the list length to a minimum in order to force the user to use the "More companies". If you erase the cache file, the list should be empty.
