Management Reporter Connection Not Being Saved

We installed MR on a new server, however when users launch MR from AX or the Report Designer, the server connection URL is referring to the old system, we enter the new URL but it isn't saving.

I have published the server connection but that didn't seem to take hold. How can I save the new connection so the users aren't prompted with a server connection each time MR is launched?
