Default Leave Request Amount to Full Day

Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to default the Amount field on a leave request to Full Day? We want to keep half-day as it is used occasionally but the vast majority of the time we are using full days. It gets very tedious to select each day when you are booking off a long period of time!

Hi Matt,

Are you using Dynamics 365 HR or the Human resources module in Dynamics 365 F&O? If it is F&O, it can be accomplished with a customization. The stand-alone Dynamics 365 HR itself can't be changed to default this particular field.

Hi Matthew,

You can set up your calendar and set the Leave amount unit as Hours. Based on the calendar, it can fetch data from there.

Hi both,

It is the Dynamics 365 HR (Human Resources), I am guessing it can't be done. Coming from a CRM background it would usually be fixable without a second thought!

@Parag - We do want to keep it as Days, they just dont want to have to select Full Day each time and would rather it was pre-populated.

Unfortunately, It is not supported as Andre mentioned. You can still create an idea on the Microsoft idea portal.

You can disable the half-day definition from the Leave and Absence parameters:

To clarify some of the responses below, you can default in the Full Day definition. Using the working time calendar to define the working days was created to do just that.

This functionality is available in both the stand-alone HR app as well as HR on the merged infrastructure.
