How to disable the "Remove" button inside the Notes ?

Dear all,

When we add a Note to the 1 stance of the Entity "Providers" we have an option to add attachment to it. Afterwards when we click into that Note again we saw the attachment and beside it there's a button named "Remove".

My question is if there's any way to disable this "Remove" button so that no CRM users can delete the note attachment ? Thank you so much.

Yours sincerely,

Kenny

If you remove Delete permissions for the Note entity then people should not be able to delete a note.

Not sure if it disables the button though

    Dear Andrew Campey,

When you said remote Delete permissions for the Note entity are you saying to go to the Security Roles of the user group in question (say "Head Nurse" in my case) and then go to "Core Record" tab page and remove the ability "Remove" from the "Note" entity ?

Please kindly advise. Thank you so much.

As far as I know, you cant really control this through Security Roles. If you revoke Delete or Update permissions, you are preventing a Delete or an Update on the Note.

Why not explore the option of doing this programmatically through a Plugin? On PreDelete of ActivityMimeAttachment entity, you can show an error message to the user and block deletion. Let me know how you go..

I have done this before using the ribbon workbench:

    www.develop1.net/.../Ribbon-Workbench-for-Dynamics-CRM-2011.aspx

You could also create a javascript to run when the form loads to disable the button based on certain security roles (e.g., find user security role, see if they have role you want to disable, and disable).
