Getting Requisition Line Error in Navision

Posted on by 172
Hi Everyone,

Good day.

A client has customized the drop-shipment functionality in Navision. A purchase order will be created from the sales order screen. In brief, a user will create a sales order and fills in the header and line (customized field created to specify the Vendor Code) details. So, when the sales order is released, a new purchase order will be created automatically. In the back end, the sales line records will go to the Requisition worksheet and from there, a purchase order is created.

Recently, I'm getting below error. when we try to release the sales order to create a purchase order.

“The Requisition Line already exists. Identification fields and values: Worksheet Template Name='REQ.',Journal Batch Name='AUTODROPSH',Line No.='10000'”

Whenever we get this error, we go to the requisition worksheet table and then clear the records manually.

Need all your assistance to overcome this error.

Thanks,
Jaunt

Well basically Your first sentence already answers You :)
As this is Your customization - You need to test it and adjust / bug fix it.

You can add a process, that before creating Requisition lines - delete all the lines in that Batch - but will no other user be upset of this?
Or add a check - if there are lines already in the journal - ask user - Do You want to delete the lines Yes/No...

Or adjust the process to create lines after the existing lines.
