Project Closure Date

ReportReport

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a report or standard functionality in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Project Management and Accounting - PMA) that shows the date when a project was actually marked as Finished.

For example:

Project End Date = 31-Dec-2025 (planned end date)

Project Status changed to Finished = 20-Jul-2026

I'm specifically interested in the date when the project status was changed to Finished, not the project's planned End Date.

Is there a standard report, inquiry, table, or field that stores and displays the Finished status date? If not, what would be the recommended approach to retrieve this information?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

D365 F&O PMA does not have a standard field/report that stores the date when a project status was changed to Finished.

Available options are Database Log (if enabled), or implementing a Project Status History solution (custom table/Business Event) to capture future status changes.

    Hi,

The only solution I can think of is the database log.

If you want want to track also deleted projects you have to select all fields (1).
If that is not the case you can select field 2 or 3 - I am not sure which one is the correct one to be honest. But you can test it easily.

You can create a report for the projects table and log type. Unfortunately, you cant filter by: where status is set to "Finished".

Its possible to export it to excel and then filter by field name and value - see below.

    Kind regards, Adis
