Reduction Key Days

Hello all,

I am looking into reduction keys and currently my company has the following fields setup with these parameters:

Change: 396
Unit: Days
Percent: 0.00
From date: 3/18/2024
To date: 4/17/2025
Month: April

Can you please assist me in understanding what exactly this is saying? I understand answers may be vague as it depends on how the rest of Master Planning is setup, etc. I'm just looking to get overall general knowledge here so that I can look into it further and help assist with test cases and eventual proposals.

P.S. - We are also looking at adopting planning optimization.

Thank you all!

    Reduction Key Days
    Hi,
You can refer to this official document: Forecast reduction keys - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft LearnThis article provides information about the different methods that are used to reduce forecast requirements. It includes examples of the results of each method. It also explains how to create, set up, and use a forecast reduction key.
Based on the information you provided, we can only know some general information:
Change: 396: This value indicates that the change amount is 396.
Unit: Days: The unit is days, indicating that the change is calculated in days.
From date: 3/18/2024: The start date is March 18, 2024, which means that the reduction will be applied from this date.
To date: 4/17/2025: The end date is April 17, 2025, meaning the reduction is applied before this date.
Month: April: The reduction only takes effect during April and will not take effect in other months.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
