Beginning Qty in Location

Good day,

We have a location ID that is no longer in use, items are still assigned to the location though. There are no values allocated to the quantity types. Beginning quantity is also 0, if it is decided the site should be used, what is the best way to start.

Is it just a matter of transferring stock to the location?

When we migrated to GP the respective locations contained a beginning qty and I was wondering if it were mandatory.

It should just be a matter of transferring existing stock into that location ID , either by Inventory Batch or stand alone transfer.

For new stock the Location ID would be added to the POP , this would assign the stock received to that location.

I think you just start using the location created and it will get populated
