GUID for business units

Posted on by 4,125

Hi,

Is there anyway I can find out the business unit record GUID? In other form, I can find the export to Excel button which I can find the field in the hidden column. But I cannot find it on the business unit form.

Thanks,

    Hi Yuji,

    Open Advanced Find.  Select Business Unit.  Click Export to Excel.  The Column A will have the GUID.  Note: You'll have unhide or drag the columns out.

    Check the following development hack:

    It will help you to find the GUID of any record with ease. Thanks.

    You can open each Business Unit and find GUID in the URL. e.g.

    /edit.aspx?id=%7b99613988-F8EF-E611-8120-C4346BDDC151%7d

    The value between id=%7b and %7d is GUID.

    Press F12 to open the developer console, Click the Console tab, and in the bottom right, next to the >> type in:

    Xrm.Page.data.entity.getId()
