Message error

Posted on by Microsoft Employee
Hi,

I meet a problem in 2010, I encountered a problem by accessing the : Bom Mass Update, when I do a refresh the following error message poster:
"An error occurred executing the SQL statement", followed by
"GPS Error 18" after
"SQL Error: 512 [Microsoft] [SQL Server Native Client 10.0] [SQL Server] Subquery Returned more than 1 value. This Is not permitted When The subquery follow =,! =, <, <=,>,> = Gold When The subquery IS Used As An expression "
Have you any idea about this issue.

I'm having the same issue in our GP2016 R2.  We copied over the Live company to a Test company database, and this SQL error appears when trying to Save any processes/transactions.  Please advise or better yet, provide the script to fix this issue?  We do use the Manufacturing Module.  The server is MS SQL Server 2012 R2.  Thank you in advance for your assistance!  Diane

Leslie-  By any chance do you have a script that will help isolate this?  I am seeing the same message when the try to add a child account to a parent.  Thank you!

Richard - can you please send me the script? I have a customer getting the exact same error messages above? I sent you an email to your account as well.

By now you have this fixed, but for the benefit of others, the tables being referred to are certain company-level setup tables that should only contain one record. For example, the BM40100 table (BOM Setup) should only include one record.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

I am having the same error code when I try to run the rollup and revalue.  Is it possible to get the script ?

    Thank you!

    Re: Message error

I am going to guess that the data base was copied from another company.  There are several tables in GP manufacturing that MUST have only one line in the table and that line contains the company number.  A bad practice but the product was purchased from a firm that had other plans.  When a db is copied from one company to another, the records in those tables refer to the wrong company and part of the code inserts a new record with the correct company number.  Other code now finds more than one record in the table and you get the above error.

The script for this is long.  Email me at rwhaley@accoladepublications.com and I will send you a copy of the script to identify these tables with instructions to fix the issues.
