FRx Launch Issue

I just applied SP12 to an SP9 FRx client. Now when we launch FRx we get this message:

"The Changes You Requested to the Table Were not Successful Because They Would Create Duplicate Values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again."

 

The KB I found on this says the only recourse is to contact Microsoft. Does anyone know a fix to get around this?

    I discovered this was being caused by a corrupt column definition in one of the reports. This was also blocking me from exporting the spec set. I exported the reports one by one until I found the corrupt one. Fortunately it was a report we did not use. So then I created a new spec set and imported the good ones in and now all is well.

    Hello Richard,

    So on this machine you are not able to get into FRx at all correct?  Do any other machines work?

    Usually this error occurs on building blocks but not when you open FRx.  If you can get into FRx try compacting the database and the specset.  File --> Compact

    Go out to the sysdata folder and check for the files ending with the extension of .lck, .ldb, and .G32 and delete them.  Now try FRx again.

    If that doesn't work did you save a copy of your sysdata from before SP 12?  If so, rename your existing sysdata and put the SP 9 one in its place.

    Give this a try and let me know how it goes.
