When I try to use the migration wizard for management reporter it shows all the companies but the solution provider is blank. I can launch management reporter and see microsft dynamics GP as a connected solution provider any ideas?

I believe this is usually caused by a version mismatch if you can see the provider in Management Reporter but not the Migration Wizard.
Check to see what version the Migration Wizard is, versus the GP Data Provider. You most likely want to use the Management Reporter Service Pack 2 installation for both the Data Provider and the Migration Wizard.

Last time I got blank provider been an issue in the .Net Framework, try to uninstall the MR and Framework then retry the installation, it might fix the issue you currently have.
