Can we freeze value of "Purchase Order Date" as "current date" by default

Dear Team,

Can we freeze value of "Purchase Order Date"   as   "current date" by default & user must not be able to change it.

    needs a customization on page purchase order:

    * set editable=false @ field "order date"

    * add to trigger onnewrecord in that page: "order date" := today;

    Yes, this is a simple customization. In the Purchase Header table, OnValidate of No. field, set “Order Date” := TODAY.

    Then set this field as Editable = FALSE in the Purchase Order Page.
