Missing Account Details in Card Summary

Posted on by 22,647

We are having a strange thing happening with a client that has been on GP since, well forever.

The fiscal year is December to November and they have started Fiscal 2019 and have not closed Fiscal 2018

When I look in Financial >> Cards >> Account and select 100-4000- and click on Summary, then choose 2018 the entire table is blank.  When I choose 2019 the first two months of that fiscal year appear.  When I pick 2017 all the data appears in the history window.

When we run the Trial Balance for the period 12/01/2017 to 11/30/2018 we see several hundred pages of data, including 100-4000- with pages of data - opening and closing balances for the year.

When I run Management Reporter for the same period, for reports we have been running for 5 years, that same time period comes up BLANK.

QUESTION - Where is the data for Fiscal 2018?  We have the detail, but no summary and MR can not report.

Resolution : after pounding around the Community site for a few hours I decided to try the old 'Check Links' on Financial series.

After which I did a Financial Reconcile on all the Historical Years as well as the two Open Years.

After which I checked the Financial Cards and the Summary data for the FY 2018 was there.

Management Reporter then prepared and generated the required reports.

    Solved.

    Hi Bill,

Please use the below queries to check in the Database whether the data exists.

    select * from GL10110 where YEAR1 = '2018' and ACTINDX in (select ACTINDX from GL00105 where ACTNUMST = '100-4000')

select * from GL20000 where OPENYEAR = '2018' and ACTINDX in (select ACTINDX from GL00105 where ACTNUMST = '100-4000')

    Regards,

    Ramanan
