Unable to see changes to word template after company log was entered for GP 2010

Hi,

I have modified word template for AR invoice called "RM Blank Document Template". The modified template was assigned to company and as well as to all the customers.

However, I was unable to see the changes to template when printed from Transaction>Sales>Transaction Entry.

Second,

Does it require giving security to modified word template? If does, how it is granted in GP2010? I do not see the modified template when I looked in window called “Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports” under Microsoft Dynamics GP>Tools>Setup>System> Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

There is no specific security to Word Templates. You do need to assign security to the Report Writer report upon which the Word Template is based. Thus, if the template is based upon a modified report, make sure the user has rights to the modified report.

Also, when you modify the template, make sure you go to the Template Maintenance window and click the green plus sign to add the report to the database.
