I have Save and Close button  that calls a web service. during the call it can take few seconds and the user can click the button several times.

    Hi partner,

    Since you want to call the web service when save and close the form, you could move this method to form onsave event.

    So that even if the web resource will take some time to complete, the form will be locked until the web resource called successfully.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Dear,

    Greetings of the day!

    In regards to your concern, we have found the reference links for you. Kindly find below:

    Reference for Enable/Disable ribbon buttons:

    Also, you here is the Second solution:

    You should use Open Progress indicator using Xrm.Utility in Dynamics 365.

    With this functionality, you  display the Progress dialog/Indicator using “showProgressIndicator” function of XRM.Utility namespace.

    Example: Xrm.Utility.showProgressIndicator(“Processing...”);

    And kindly find the reference link below:

    Kindly try the above things on your end and let us know in case of any assistance need I would be happy to assist you further for the same.

    Kind Regards,

    You can use the Ribbon Workbench (ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/.../71374-1-getting-started-with-the-ribbon-workbench) to disable buttons.

    You can disable or hide depending on your requirements. If you want to hide always, you can simply right-click on the button and hide, if you want to conditionally disable then you need to right-Click Customise Command and then add a custom EnableRule that calls your javascript function.
