Production Picking Work generated for inventory with "Inventory Blocking" status enabled

Hi Everyone,
I am experiencing an issue where Production Picking work is being generated for items that have an inventory status with Inventory blocking enabled (specifically, our QC Hold status).
Here are the details of our current setup and what I have observed:
  1. Inventory Status: The status QC Hold has the Inventory blocking checkbox set to Yes.
My Concern:
If the system parameter for "Inventory blocking" is enabled on the status, why is the Location Directive still pulling this inventory to work?
Would love to know the best practice here to completely lock this down for production workloads.

    Hi @Dewitt ,

    To answer your question, in this scenario the Location Directive is not the control point. Inventory status sits above Location in the reservation hierarchy means the status is decided during reservation/allocation, before the location directive is ever consulted. By the time the directive runs, the system has already committed to "pick QC Hold stock" — the directive is only answering which location, not which status.
    So no location directive setting caused this, and no location directive setting will fix it on its own.
