Room Tracking - Custom Field? Task? Power Automate?

Hi,

we're just setting up Dynamics HR and I'm struggling translating our current processes into it.

We have a number of controlled rooms which only certain people are allowed in. They need to go through some training and be approved before they can access the room.

Would anyone be able to suggest the best way for us to record this in Dynamics HR please?

I'm not sure if I should do it using Tasks (not sure how to get the approval into this), Learning, or if I ought to be adding custom fields for each room and concentrating on PowerAutomate to handle each step in the process...

    Hi Tom,

    I do think that you can create additional Power Apps eventually supported with Power Automate flows and approval flows could help you out here.

    It is possible to start the Power Apps stand alone or embedded within HR. You can read and write data using Power Apps and also using Power Automate.

    Hi,

    it is a very manual process at the moment. 

    Staff members complete 2 forms, 1 of which is approved by a manager and send them both to our Health and Safety department.

    The staff member attends a training presentation and takes a test at the end of this training.

    They then attend practical training in the room with the room supervisor who emails the health and safety department after the training has been completed.

    They then email the health and safety department themselves to say they have read and understood the room's rules.

    At this point the Health and Safety team tick a box in our current staff database and email our security team who update their room access in our card system.

    I don't think I can cover all of this process within the Learning section, and I can't see a way of doing it with just a Tasklist.
