Hi Guys,

I have created couple of extensions in VS code and successfully published to the Sandbox (Preview), but I am unable to publish the same to the Production Instance. Also the extensions published are only accessible to me in Sandbox (Preview) and not visible to other users. Appreciated if anyone can share the knowledge with me.

Thanks,

amit

    Hi,

    You can't publish the extension directly to Production using VS Code.

    Open Production environment > Search Extension Management.  A page opens, in manage, you will find Upload Extension action. You select the .app file, accept and deploy.

    If any error, then you can check in Deployment Status page.

    You can't publish from VS code to production. Only sandbox.

    You can go to extension management in the production and upload the .app file there.

    Once uploaded, you need to maintain the versioning of your app. You can no longer upload app with same version.

    ApplicationArea is the property on the page that specifies the page to be displayed in which area.

    Mention the below properties for the page.

    ApplicationArea = All;

    UsageCategory = Administration;

    By adding these properties the must be shown in search (called Tellme).

    Are you doing Page or Page Extension ?

    Page Extension is not searchable.

    If you are doing Page, just add Application Area and Usage Category into it. These two properties are required for BC to show in search.
