Integration Job Queue Entries for D365 Finance and Dynamics CRM Not synchronising records

I have setup the integration job runner on codeunit 5339 in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Business Edition. This is integrated with Dynamics 365 Sales. When I created account in Dynamics 365 Sales, I expect this to be automatically created by the Job queue. However, the record did not create. I also notice the job queue suddenly set itself on hold due to activity, even though it was running when I created the record in Dynamics 365 Sales. I reset the job queue entry to ready, run full synchronisation but still the record did not create. The mappings are accurate.

Could you please advise how I can make the job queue work, and not set to hold on it own?

Thanks

    Hi Kwaog,

Thank you for the explanation of what you have tried so far and what you are seeing (or rather, not seeing in the synchronisation).

There are two additional settings that come to mind which will have an impact on the synchronisation of the Accounts and Customers.

    1. Search for and open the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connection Setup page. In the ribbon, click on the Integration Table Mappings button. In the Integration Table Mappings page, locate the line with Name/Table value of CUSTOMER/Customer. Ensure that the far right column (Synch Only Coupled Records) is unmarked.

    2. In CRM, for each Account that you wish to synchronise, the Relationship Type field value must be Customer. This field is not included in the Account page, by default. It must be added to the page.

If you can ensure that these (above) two settings are as suggested, then the Accounts from CRM should synchronise across to "Financials".

The Job Queues will drop to a status of On Hold when there are not records to be synchronised. In spite of the status, the records are still being monitored for changes/additions. When a change/addition is recognised, then the Job Queue will be automatically set back to an Active status and will run two iterations.

    Hi Tammy,

I'm experiencing the issue with the integration going on hold due to inactivity as well.  I have confirmed the two settings you mention.  Also, one difference to the original issue posted, is that my customers do come into financials when we manually set the job queue entry back to 'ready'.  so it does seem to work properly when manually setting things back to 'ready', but i am not seeing the customers coming through automatically (or this job switching back to ready) on it's own.  when we do manually change it back to ready, many customers come in (and i know that they weren't all created at that moment obviously).

So basically, our integration is manual because before we push invoices in, we have to manually to here to start the customer integration to ensure they are all there.  Is there any way to turn this feature off so that it is always looking to crm? i've recently increased the maximum no. of attempts to run hoping that this may make a difference.  Please let me know what else you may need from me!

    Hi Tammy,

My customer is also experiencing the issues outlined by Kaydee (30 Jan 2018 12:00 PM) and are resorting to manual synchronisation. Are you able to provide a resolution?

    Many thanks,

    Jonathan

    Good day all,

Today I filed a request to the teams in Copenhagen to further analyze the issue with the job queues which do not automatically reschedule. As it seems, if root cause is similar, the issue has already been addressed via a hot fix for the Dynamics NAV 2018 release only. Not all Dynamics 365 Business Central tenants did receive that fix as of now. We are gradually upgrading all tenants to latest build. If more relevant information does become available, we will post this to this forum.

Thank you Mr. Lenton for filing this as an incident to our support service.

    Good day all,

This issue may be caused by the introduction of "Inactivity Timeout Period" that helps to activate a synch job even if no activity in Dynamics 365 Business Central has happened. If "Inactivity Timeout Period"= 0 the job gets "On Hold" status. That is a mistake and it is fixed in scope of the upcoming updates.

The workaround for the issue is to set "Inactivity Timeout Period" to a non-zero value.

E.g. "No. of Minutes between Runs" is 10 minutes, meaning that if the last synch session finished with no changes to the table this job queue gets status "On Hold with Inactivity Timeout" and will not be executed until a change done to the table in NAV. But if "Inactivity Timeout Period" set to 10 as well, and all changes are done in CRM, they will be synched every 10 minutes regardless of activity in NAV.

We will resolve this issue in an upcoming update that will be gradually rolled out in all regions.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
