Creating a Word Template with D365 Data From an Existing, Formatted Template

Posted on by 60

All,

I have a client who has used a D365 template that autofills all of the customer, product, shipping information, etc. for both invoices and quotes.  However, the design had become outdated so they requested that I build one with updated colors and reformatting the sections to make more logical sense.

After doing this, I realized that there's no easy way to hook the fields back up without starting from "scratch" and selecting the entity and creating a blank word template all over again.

Can anyone help with with issue? Don't particularly want to start over and waste those hours.

Kind Regards,

Dick Clark
