A situation has happened where a customer came in and purchased a product..paid with his visa. Well then it was charged to that customer again thru the bank but doesnt show up in RMS..the purchased was charged to his visa a year later and the bank is saying its this clients fault thru RMS
Is there a way to track this? Or look and see?

There were some issues with duplicate trxs - and no, they would not present under your journal viewer - but they will list under your SO Mgr> Reports> Misc.> EDC Report> Set date range for the time of the trx> Look for dupes.
I have experienced duplicate trxs when using a non-preferred CC processor (who bridged a gateway). The cashier thought the trx did not process and swipped the card a second time. Sometimes you see this when working with preferred, but the system times out or loses the db connection while waiting for processing requests. The cashier would think the trx did not process, often will not see in the journal and will restart the trx and reswipe the card.
Long and short - you probably did charge multiple times. Why it took the bank a yr to post the transaction to the customer account is an anomalie.... Unless someone reset the status error on the trx and reposted.
