Hello,
One of a customer when the user does IV Adjustment and their Inventory & IV Offset Accounts are same it won't create any Journal Entry. When we have two different accounts it does trigger Journal Entry.
Is there any setup/configuration need to verify?
FYI- I have done AR Transaction with same GL Accounts it does trigger to Journal Entry.
Any help on this will be highly appreciable.
Thanks much
Sandip

Hello Mariano,
Appreciate for your reply. I have checked in GP2016R2 it does create Journal Entry for IV Transaction which has same GL Acccount as Inventory and Offset Account. Plus AR also create Journal Entry for same GL Account and there is no third account involved in the transaction.
Any help on this is highly appreciable.
Thanks much

Hi mariano,
I also faced same issue for one of my client recently, When Inventory and inventory offset account are same no GL's were fired from IV adj screen. Post to and post through are checked for both inventory and financial posting setup. Allow account entry is also checked.
After debugging , in dexsql , I found a difference here GP CALLs twice db.dbo.zDP_GL00100SS_1 ( actnum) for same account number , but instead of calling next GL Entry(glGetNextJournalEntry), it directly called this function CALL Db.dbo.zDP_IV00101SS_1 when accounts are same, this only happens on client machine, on other environment it working fine.
Any help on this will be highly appreciable.
This behavior is by design. There are no settings in GP that would allow you to change this behavior. As for AR, it works in the same way as IV. The only time I can think of it being different is, when there's a third account involved in the transaction.
