Analytical information is only for distribution accounts. If you create a Sales order, it wont affect anything on distribution level. So, you can not add analytical information for Sales orders.

A user cannot open the Analytical Sales Transaction Entry window from the Sales
Transaction Entry or Sales Payment Entry windows. Also, no validation will take
place when you save the order.

Can we select Analytical Accounting when Type is = to Order
You need to Go to Additional in the sales order entry and click on Analytical Accounting
then you can fill the AA distribution , kindly let me know if you need further information
