Advanced Labor Reporting Codes - Possible to modify the Productive / Non-Productive label on Pay Code and what table is the value stored ?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We don't use the productive / non-productive terminology for the pay code options, we classify by maintenance and non-maintenance pay codes for our insurance workers comp. I'm wondering what table the setting is as i'd like to bulk update all the pay codes to reflect 'non-productive' (Assuming i can't modify the term non-productive to non-maintenance). I figured it was in the UPR40600 table but it's not obvious if it is.

Over all I want to use the advanced labor reporting to generate a report showing quarterly maintenance  / non-maintenance gross wages. In addiiton I'd like to be able to split these by regular wages and over time wages for the quarter.

Similar to

regular wages

                 maintenance                                  non-maintenance
Qt1                100,000                                        150,000

Qt2                125,000                                        110,000

overtime wages

Qt1                  56,000                                          63,000

Qt2                  45,000                                          55,000

You are correct in that you cannot change the terminology per se. You could modify the labels on the report.

As background, "Productive"/"Non-Productive" status is tied to a GL Unit Account. This information is stored in the APR_GL00100 table. If you want to split up this report, you will have to have separate unit accounts tied to the various pay codes in Payroll Posting Account Setup and have them assigned accordingly in the Labor Reporting Accounts window (Tools > Setup > Payroll > Advanced Labor Reporting > Reporting Accounts).

    Hope this helps.

I'm not sure of the exact table, however I do believe the Advanced Labor Reporting Codes are managed through the Advanced Payroll module, so the table would begin with "APR_".

Hopefully that will help you get pointed in the right direction.
