    Re: Work order trigger

    Good morning,

Thank you Danny for the follow up; and thank you Gerald for posting some things for him to check.

    1. How do I know when it was closed?

If the order is closed I would assume that the  [order].LastUpdated date would be the date it was closed.

    2. Which Date field should I use?

As Gerald stated there is an [order].LastUpdated date that appears to show the last time the order was touched.

If this is not on the report already you could modify the report to add this information.

    3. How to know if it was a full or partial pickup?

If the status is Closed it was a full pickup.

If you want to check what is on order there are a couple custom reports in the Reports Library you may want to reference:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../modifiedreports_rmsstoreoperationsreports.htm

Report - Order Summary and Order Detail with Remaining Balance Calculation

These reports calculate the remaining balance on special transactions within an active report (for work orders, back orders, and layaways)

Please let me know if this answers your questions,

    Hi.

The reference number & detail comment are in the Order table, the item comment and change in description is in the Order Entry table. In the (sales) transactionentry table, only the item id is recorded.

You could get the status date from the lastupdated field, I guess.

When a WorkOrder is closed - I still need to get info about the WorkOrder.

Doing a report with status=Closed gets me some data - how do I know when it was closed?

Which Date field should I use, plus how to know if it was a full or partial pickup.

The data is somewhere - just no sure what table and field.

    Good morning Danny,

Thank you for posting your work order question.

What data are you losing once the work order is closed?

    Thank you in advance.
