ADX Studio v7 Updates From Portal Not Appearing In CRM

I have a client that has an on-premise version 7 of ADX Studio and CRM Online 2016.  When creating a new member or any other updates in the portal the data appears in CRM, with one exception.  When registering a new user or logging in with an existing user and going to the profile page.  Any updates on this page will not appear in CRM.  So if I log in and update my job title, then click the update button, the update does not appear in CRM and on page refresh the data is gone in the portal.  I will add that when registering a new user the user is created with no problem.  It only appears to be an update on the profile page.  Has anyone else seen this and fixed it?

    Found out there was a plugin running on update of the contact.  After debugging the plugin, there was an exception being thrown.  I fixed the exception in the plugin and now the data is being saved in the portal.
