Purchase Invoice Line Items Options

Question on purchase line items, it currently looks like the only option is a line type of Item.  Is this what we are going to see with the full product release?  If so, how are non inventory purchases entered such as a utility bill or service invoice?

Upon release we are currently only offering the line type of items.  The utility bill or service invoice could be entered directly as an entry in another journal.  We will take this as a product suggestion.

    Thank you for the response.

In my opinion this current limitation is a major limitation and can make using this product virtually unusable for most organizations.  A Journal will only allow a single expense account per transaction.

Afternoon looking at the current feature list I think this will be a great solution other than this major limitation.

What is the process for product updates?  Is this something can changed sooner than later?

I guess it is done in order to simplify as much as possible the user interface and the process of data input. Thus, the user (especially, new user) should as less as possible think about what should be selected in the line - item or G/L Account and what would be the difference. However, indeed, G/L Account is somehow needed there to my view.

We will have monthly updates to Dynamics 365 for Financials, starting in November.   These will include new features and fixes.  Thank you for your input on what we can enhance.

I completely agree that not being able to change the invoice line item type makes the product unusable.  I just purchased licenses and thinking that I was missing something on the trial version and I am very disappointed that something as basic as entering common bills makes it so I can't use Dynamics for Financials.  I sincerely hope they fix this as soon as possible.

I agree. This is the one issue I've seen so far that's a deal-breaker. Hopefully this will be addressed soon as I'd love to be able to move to Dynamics 365 this year.

it appears this is still case is it? I just need to enter a free text line item in the invoice (AX offers this feature).

This has been added to Dynamics 365 for financials in the most recent update.
