Problem summary

DISCLAIMER: According to the Microsoft documentation configure SharePoint storage SharePoint is only supported on Microsoft-managed environments.

When you setup the D365 OneBox (VHD) with a freshly created App Registration it will not establish a connection to SharePoint.

I receive the following warning AADSTS500103 in the event viewer when I test the SharePoint connection from D365 Document management parameters.

How do I add my app registration to the allowed audience(s)?

Reproducible steps

Set up the downloadable VHD for first use
Open document management parameters in D365 F&O
Ensure the D365 feature Upgrade SharePoint user authentication is disabled
Go to tab SharePoint
Fill default SharePoint Server
Test SharePoint connection
Check windows Event Viewer Applications and Services logs>Microsoft>Dynamics>AX-DocumentManagement>Operational

I have already done following steps to resolve the problem:

App registration
1. Add the self-signed certificate issued to aadclient-onebox-locator1-dynamics-com which was created by the shortcut generate self-signed certificate
2. Add delegated API permission for Dynamics ERP, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint
3. Add application API permission for Dynamics ERP, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint
Check C:\AOSService\webroot\*.conf files
1. Thumbprint of the certificate issued to aadclient-onebox-locator1-dynamics-com is used
2. Application (client) ID of the app registration is used
