How to add extra languages in BC licence?

(0) ShareShare

Good afternoon,

In a normal NAV license with Belgian localization, we get 3 languages : NLB, ENU and FRB. With this license, a user could run NAV In these 3 languages and standaard NAV documents (f.e. sales invoice) are available in these 3 languages.

With NAV it was possible to buy extra language(s) (f.e. 4th language, German). This extra language was indicated in the license file (.FLF).

How does this work for Business Central? What are the default languages? Can we buy extra languages? Can we still import an FLF file in Business Central?

Thanks for the response,

Melissa

    Hi Melissa,

    Sorry for the late reply.

This is/will be possible in on prem version.

For cloud version this is currently not yet possible. However, this is in our backlog.

You can find the list of supported languages here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/compliance/apptest-countries-and-translations

Will keep you posted when we get to this.

Has this issue been fixed on the cloud version of Business Central??

We are now starting to deploy BC to multiple locations with Languages??

The below link DOES NOT WORK!!

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/about-locale-language

This is urgent. If MS want customers to use the cloud you have to provide this functionality

Are you talking about SaaS? You cannot add language packs at the moment on a SaaS environment. Microsoft is working on this.
