Hi All,

I have created the boolean field on user setup page which will authorize a certain user to be able to edit customer credit card(on customer card).

Can anyone please guide me on how to make the credit limit field on customer card to become uneditable if user has no permission to edit customer credit limit and to become editable when user has permission to do so

Thank you

You need to change the field editable property Editable = false in the onaftergetrecord in the page, then in the same trigger, you need to serch if the actual user has permission in user setup and if the user can make changes, change the editable property = true, else, leave it not enabled.

Will require a global variable as a Boolean in a page extension to the customer card and a codeunit to call a procedure to make the check. Call the procedure from a page trigger. Either OnOpenPage or OnAfterGetRecord. Set the visible property of the mentioned field to the global Boolean. Your procedure will need the user ID as a parameter for filtering the user setup table. Exit the procedure with a Boolean result.
