I would like to know backup and retention policy.
1. I believe 3 days where we can restore as past backups. Is there any additional back up where we can request on disk/tape if more than 3 days?
2. Can we initiate on demand backup via code?

The backup to Azure is for internal use only.

Out of curiosity, other than that tip, where does it is mentioned that online instance API's are not supported and only for internal use. I looked at the documentation and can't seem to find any such thing.
Is it possible that there was some issue with the API but not anymore?
You're right, it"s for internal use only now.

Tip#985 no longer works and not supported. We we able to restore the backup if more than 3 days? Does MS stores/keep on disk?
