I want to login to 'on premise trial version of D365FO VM' from android device to test asset management mobile app.

I downloaded and installed Dynamics 365 for phones (version 4.3.20082.22) and registered using my AD login user id and password.

Now, when i run the application, it gives the message:

                               You're almost there

Contact your administrator for access to your organization's mobile apps.

Where in the mobile device we should put the URL path 'https://usnconeboxax1aos.cloud.onebox.dynamics.com/'

Regards,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi rody,

I would separate your question to two parts:

    1) Access local D365 VM from the outside (via browser) - not related to mobile apps at all, instead it's a general connectivity thing

    2) Set up Asset management mobile app

Until you have the first one solved, you can't do anything about the second one.

Could you please confirm which part you have issues with?

    Hi rody,

let me suggest that you deploy a cloud hosted VM, you will save a lot of time = money. Trying to integrate local VMs with external applications is just unnecessary pain in my opinion.

In order to use local VM, you would need to be able to publish it into some public IP that is accessible from Internet. There are some blogs around, but things have also changed and old solutions might not work anymore.

But try first to publish it in your local LAN, and if you manage to make it work, then publish it to Internet. Here's one blog about it: erconsult.eu/.../

    Hi Rody,

You are probably able to solve the external accessibility with help from the comments provided by Nikolaos. I would also recommend to deploy a cloud hosted environment and turn off the machine when you are not using it.

Once you solved this, you have to use another mobile app. The app 'Dynamics 365 for phones' is intended to connect Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications. You need to use the app 'Microsoft Finance and Operations (Dynamics 365)'
