RM Batch Error

Posted on by 60

I have an open receivables batch that was sent over from our other MIS and it is currently getting stuck while posting. It gets to a certain % and then freezes and crashes GP. When I reboot the batch is then "In Progress" so I use Batch Recovery and it gets to that same point and freezes and crashes. I have gone in to the SY00500 to put the BCHSTTUS to 0 to bring it back in to the RM Batches area. However when I get it there I can't go in to the transactions of the batch to individually post them to figure out which transaction it is that is corrupt. If I enter the transaction area to look up a transaction the system freezes and crashes again. Any ideas?  I can't just delete the batch as I cannot re-transfer the data from the other MIS to GP.

In the Batch Edit window, select the printer icon and print the batch edit list.  This report typically lists the errors encountered with each or any transaction.  It may be that the actual transaction is corrupt in the db.  This will require editing the tables in MS-SQL, locating the transaction (use the edit report) and completing missing data or deleting the line (completing missing data is recommended) MAKE BACKUPS FIRST!

I created a new RM batch and did a new RM transaction. After the batch was created the system let me edit the batch with the error in it. Everything has been posted. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Hi,

    • How is the integration being handled? Is it a custom integration or are you using eConnect or Integration Manager?..Is it a custom application writing direct to the RM tables?
    • Can you run a smartlist on RM Work Transactions? - If you can, then you could run this to XL - delete the transactions and manually re-enter them?
    • However, running the Smartlist may also help find the corrupt transaction
    • If you have any knowledge of SQL - run a 'select * from' query against the RM Work Table and see if there is anything obvious?
    • Can you manually enter and save a new RM transaction?
    • Can you create and save a new RM Batch?
    • When you have recovered the bad batch, are you able to print an edit list from it?

I have tried from 2 workstations as well as the server itself, the issue remains constant.

    Re: RM Batch Error

     Hi

Does it happen on one workstation (or) on all workstations?

If it is workstation specific, try clearing temp files from your workstation and then try posting again. You can also try replacing the Dynamics.dic file from a workstation without issues into this workstation and test again.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Regards

    Siva
