Pending vendor invoices - notification about posting

Hi, I would like to ask if there is anyone who can help me how to set up a notification for Posting of the invoice in Pending vendor invoices? I would like to receive and alert after the WF is completed and the invoices is posted.

I have tried already many alert rule but no email.

Navigate to vendInvoiceInfoTable through table browser https://ApplicationURL/?cmp=dataareaId&mi=systablebrowser&tablename=vendinvoiceinfotable and create the alert

Hi ,

You should have one alert automatically based on workflow completion after approval. This will come from workflow configuration.

Now next step is it is posted. Now how are you posting this through workflow step or any other way? if workflow step again that should be alert on that step not alert rule on pending vendor invoice.

Also another way will be new record creation on AP > Inquiries > Invoice journal

You can setup an alert rule on the creation of the vendor invoices form.Does that work for you?

Hi MV

You have to do two important steps in order to complete the setup of alert rule.

1. You have to schedule the change based alerts batch job - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/fin-ops/get-started/alerts-managing?context=%2Fdynamics365%2Fcontext%2Fcommerce

2. have you configured the email setting ? - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/organization-administration/configure-email

Once you complete these two settings and when alert rule condition is met, you will recieve the email.

If you want to notify users once workflow completed on vendor invoice - you can use power automate to get the workflow business event to notify users once the worklfow is completed.
