loosing first 4 chars of GP reports - GP2010 Windows 2008 R2 TS

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Printing GP2010 reports to a laser/copier printer (will update with printer model tommorrow) on network when logged in via RDC to a Windows Server 2008 R2 TS.  Reports print but the user looses the first 4 chars on the left hand side of the report.  Is there a way to align the printer to start printing to the right?  I know that I could modify the GP reports -- but its is not an option that I want to take.

Thanks,

John

I get a print dialog box but the alignment horizontal/vertical section is greyed-out (anyone know how to get access to the alignment section?).

Getting the problem printing to a HP laserjet 2450DN and a Lanier MP C2500.KC425C PCL -- have tried several different drivers but no change.  TS is 2008 R2 and workstation is XP SP3.

This used to be seen on the right side of reports when the printer drivers for the device where the report was created was different from the driver where the report is being printed.  You might want to try updating the printer drivers to see if that helps

Do you get the print dialog box appear before you print? If you do put in a horizontal offset and then print. This will move the entire report to the right. Keep makking the number bigger until it fits. Try something like 0.2 first and see how it goes.
