upgrade CRM 2015 to CRM 2016

I am doing inplace CRM upgrade.

I have upgrade CRM from 2011 to 2013 and then 2015. Now If i try to install CRM 2016 the below error occur

One or more organizations can't be upgraded because the version isn't supported for upgrade. Apply the latest Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 update rollup, and then use Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Deployment Manager to update each organization. Then, try to upgrade again.

Even though i have installed CRM update 0.1 and 0.2 (server file). The above issue is occured

    Could you please let me know steps to upgrade Dynamics CRM 2015 On premisee to Dynamics CRM 2016.

    Hi

    Instead of upgrading the CRM 2015 database directly,uninstall the CRM 2015 and then freshly install the CRM 2016 and then using deployment manager import the CRM 2015 organization and it works.

    But I don't know why the above error occur at the time of CRM 2015 to 2016 upgradation

    directly (without installing CRM 2016 directly)

    Finally I can upgrade CRM 2015 to 2016.

    What organisation versions are showing in CRM Deployment Manager ? And can you upgrade the organisations using CRM Deployment Manager, then run the upgrade to CRM 2016 ?
