Sharing Advance Find View doesn't Show Records

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have shared 10 contact records to User A and user can see the records in Active Contact view

But when share a saved view of same 10 records from advance find then user see the shared view but not records in it.

What is the reason? how can user see the records in shared view.

    Hi

As I mentioned already, When you share the record, still you are the Owner.

So, in the filter criteria for the view You have to specify Your user account instead of to whom (Testuser) you have shared.

    Hi,

Active Contact view does not have a filter for the owner. If you remove "Owner" filter from the shared view, User A will see those records.

If a shared the only records it goes to CRM default view "Active Contact"

same records if i shared using advance view it not shows.

for checking even i assign the those records to user.

When you share the contact records with user A, the owner of the records will not change (if you want to change the owner, Assign the records). You'll need to change the criteria in the view, and there is no filter criteria that will return only records shared with a given user

    Hi

User A is not the Owner, you are the Owner even after sharing the record.

So, this would not show the records (if Owner equals Your User then it would show).

    Hi

What is the Criteria used in the view (is it like owner = current user)?
