From my test, the only wrong insight data would be a duplicate recipient address record.
Due to email to other contacts has been blocked, thus no more interaction data will be created for rest of them.
You could add suffix to name of marketing emails that are only sent to accounts to distinct from emails for contacts.

We can set To field of marketing email to {{contact.contact_account_parentcustomerid.emailaddress1}}, then the marketing email will be delivered to mailbox of contacts' account.
Actually the marketing email will still send to all members of segment,
however, only one contact will be picked as account(The process is random.), other emails will fail to be delivered due to duplicate recipient address, thus the mailbox of account will only receive one marketing email.
We can find these facts In Account > Insights tab.

To sum up above article, contact is still the fundamental entity of segment, but customer journey that is set to account-based will process all contacts of segment on account level.(After we set target field of customer journey to "Account", a new property will display, see Account-based customer journeys section for more details.)
Then in Account > Insights tab, data in the tab will represent the combined interactions of all contacts associated with that account.
