When client running GP2010 moves from the Finance to Sales main screen we are presented with a error related to 'script error' (picture attached) and this only happens when we move from the main screen shortcuts. When the menus at the top of the screen are used, there are no errors.
Client has Office 365 installed on each computer - in the past I have seen this error related to the Office client. We are trying to recreate error but can not see any issues.
More data - the link for Connector / extrnal links have all been turned off.
When we look at the location noted in the message we see that we are able to see this location, however, something interesting should be noted and that is when the user tries to Pin the task (GP Launch) will not PIN to the task bar.
Client is running Windows 8.0 and is running (it appears roaming profiles)
Any assistance is something we are looking forward to.

Hi Bill!
There is a great many possible causes for that error.
1) Bad files in the users temp folder.
a. delete the contents of the users temp folder.
b. You can find the users temp folder by brining up the Windows run box and typing in %temp%.
c. It's common for you to get a few "cannot be deleted" errors when deleting the contents of the temp folder because some of the records may be locked by Windows or other running applications, just skip those when asked.
2) Configuration of roaming profiles (you noted they may be using it).
a. If they are using roaming profiles the users temp folder must be mapped to their local computer and not a shared network drive.
3) Office web components are not installed and Metrics are turned on, on the GP homepage.
a. If this is the cause it will occur on the GP homepage and not the sales tab.
b. The metrics panel will show an error in it if this is the cause.
c. Either remove the metrics component from GP's homepage (customize this page link on the homepage), or install Office web components.
4) Security to the GP code folder, the users temp folder, and any folder containing the DIC's.
a. The users need at least read, write and modify access to the above locations.
5) internet Explorer options.
a. GP uses some of the options in internet explorer for the GP homepage and area pages. One option in particular can cause this issue.
b. Open Internet Explorer.
c. Click the gear icon and choose internet options.
d. Under the browsing history section of the general tab click settings.
e. Under the section "Check for new versions of stored pages" change it to "Every time I visit the web page".
f. See if the issue is resolved.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Joshua
