Receiving transactions and GL distribution

Hi,

While testing the PO Receiving, when items are just received and not invoiced, I expect to see the GL distribution to account for the value of items received.

Perhaps DR Inventory and CR some sort of Pending Account.

I don't see GL transactions posted if items are not invoiced. Is that correct?

    Assuming you have setup all the posting setup correctly, go to Inventory Setup and check if Automatic Cost Posting is turned on. If not, you need to run Post Inventory Cost to G/L manually.

    Check also if Expected Cost Posting to G/L is turned on. This will create a ledger when you do receipt or shipment.
