I’m experiencing a problem with a custom workflow in Dynamics 365 following the update released in September 2024. The issue began after I installed the latest update on September 14, 2024.
Details:
- Dynamics 365 Version: September 2024 Update
- Workflow Name: LeadQualificationWorkflow
- Error Message: “Workflow failed to execute: An unexpected error occurred.”
- Update Date: September 14, 2024
- Environment: Dynamics 365 Online
Problem Description:
- The custom workflow, which is designed to automatically qualify leads based on specific criteria, used to run smoothly before the update. Now, it fails intermittently with the error message above.
- The workflow itself has not been modified recently, and all related components are functioning correctly.
What I’ve Tried:
- Reviewing Workflow Logs: Checked the workflow logs for more details, but the logs do not provide additional insights.
- Testing Workflow Steps Individually: Verified that each step of the workflow functions as expected when tested individually.
- Checking for Recent Changes: Confirmed that no recent changes have been made to the Dynamics 365 environment or related entities.
- Reactivating Workflow: Deactivated and reactivated the workflow, but the issue persists.
Has anyone else encountered similar issues with custom workflows after the September 2024 update? Are there any known resolutions or troubleshooting steps that could address this problem?
