saving selected form row when switching between forms and/or disabling automatic first row selection when opening new form

Hello, Im new in Dynamics. I need to find a solution for following problem. When you open new form it always selects/marks the first record. However sometimes its disturbing for client as he needs to go back and forth between the forms and work with one record only. Could you please provide some solution on how to save the selected record in form (when switching to different form and coming back the same record is selected) and/or turn off the automatic first record selection when opening new form. Thanks in advance.

By forms are you referring records / entities ? I think you are, actually description need some clarity. Here are few suggestions:

1. Is your client not using multiple tabs ? Ctrl + clicking record will open entity (record) in a separate tab.

2. I hope in their environment auto save is enabled. Once record is initially saved, it auto save changes every 30 seconds but this features might and can be disabled.

If you more help, please give some explanation or screen shots if possible.
