Requisition Entry on GP Web Client

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

We are using GP 2016 R2 Web Client. We have setup Limited Users with Active Directory accounts so when log into the Web Client, they are not required to enter their SQL login. The users are able to enter and save requisitions. However, when they submit the requisition, it is not viewable from within the full client by any user. It is accessible only to that user on the web client.

The only way we can make these requisitions to submit successfully and viewable within the full client for approval is if the web users include information such as Site ID, Vendor ID and Account Number on the requisition.

Is this normal behavior of requisition entry from Web Client?

    Hi Jay

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I have a client on GP 2016.000620 that is using Requisition Workflow.  The only required field is site id. In fact the routing of the workflow goes from the requisitioner to the buyers who then enter unit prices, vendors, etc and then on for approval.

So I am not sure why you are experiencing the required fields.  Which version of GP 2016 are you using?

    Jeffrey,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, I may need to further clarify. My issue is not about viewing the requisition. It's regarding the submit of the requisition. If I were to submit a requisition from the web client, it seems that it will only submit if the fields Vendor ID, Account Number and Ship Method is populated. If I don't populate it, I can click submit but no message appears about filling those fields. If I do populate those fields and submit, then it shows in the GP full client. I thought those fields are not required to submit a requisition from the web client.

    Hi Jay

    Check your requisition setup:

Microsoft Dynamics GP > tools > setup > purchasing > purchase order processing > Requistions

The middle section is  Display Requisitions During Entry For

and then you have the option to choose how the various users see requisitions.  This is where I would start first in trouble shooting.
