Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can get travel time to show when scheduling form the previous job to the next one being booked?

Both jobs have been geocoded, also on the map to the right, it shows the route fine from Resource Address to Job 1 then Job 2. But does not give the travel time from job 1 to job 2 when I click check availability

    Ahh, this is because my second job wasn't set to onsite.


    I do have a new question though, how do I show the travel time to get home after a job?

    I think you'd have to create a "job" of home to get that last estimate with out of the box tools.

    Hi Graeme,

    You go and click on the 'Get Driving Directions' button

    Then add the Resource location and the job number and then click the 'Directions button'

    This will give you the travel times

    Thanks Thomas, we know it's available here already, but want to show it on the Scheduling board. So that when we make a booking we can see they won't get home in time.

    We are looking for a similar function where scheduling a resource will prompt an alert that indicates insufficient travel time either between two jobs or at end of a work day. Any inputs on this would really help.

    What you need to do Nithin is write a Booking Rule or a C# plugin

    You need to get the time of the end of the working day, the end time of the last booking and the estimated travel time of the new booking.
    You will then need to calculate if there is enough time to travel to the next job before the end of the working day.

    Just fyi - the behavior will improve soon: "When inserting a booking between two bookings or reassigning a booking to another resource, the travel time of all associated bookings will be recalculated properly."
