Hello everybody,
I start to delete Marketing solutions, when I want to delete "MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement_patch" solution , I get an error
Message: This solution cannot be uninstalled because the 'Attribute' with id '1489b0c1-8496-4511-9518-c379dde2900d(msevtmgt_registeredby)' is required by the 'MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement' solution. Uninstall the MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement solution and try again.Detail:
then I try to delete "MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement" solution according to the error, but I get same error.
This solution cannot be uninstalled because the 'Attribute' with id '1489b0c1-8496-4511-9518-c379dde2900d(msevtmgt_registeredby)' is required by the 'MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement' solution. Uninstall the MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement solution and try again.
Is there anyone who can solve this recursive error?
The referenced document (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/solution-uninstall-order) suggests uninstalling "MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement_patch" and then "MicrosoftDynamics_EventManagement". The problem is both of them want to remove "msevtmgt_registeredby" but both depend on it. Thus creating a circular reference. I am running into the same error as the original post.
It seems strange to me that Microsoft did not follow the documented guidance for Solution Patches but instead created a separate solution that they called a "patch". It created a real mess to unravel.
Hi, I found this documentation to follow the unistall order here.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/solution-uninstall-order
Hi. Are you able to resolve this? I am stuck with the same issue.
The uninstallation of Marketing application can be tricky and I haven't been able to do it 100% by myself even with the tutorials. Sounds to me you should open a support ticket because the Marketing app leaves a lot of tails here and there and would be best if you let someone from the PG do it for you via the ticket.
Hi Ismail,
We have some documentation on how to install Marketing, and it includes a recommended uninstall order. You can find it here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/marketing/uninstall-marketing
