Lifecycle Services - Customization Analysis

Posted on by 90

Hi Folks,

I have to do run Customization Analysis for AX 2012 R3. I extracted a model file (.axmodel) via AxUtil.exe. When I try to upload .axmodel file on Lifecycle Services - Customization Analysis, it is saying "File type is mismatched". FYI - I used to do the same in past without failure. This is something new I am facing for the first time. Any clue?

Thanks!

    Hi PRKR,

There is an issue with the LCS tooling at least for the code upgrade. Probably, this is part of the outage. Microsoft is aware of some issues and investigating the issue.

LCS Customization Analysis for AX 2012 is not working at all even after converting the model into .zip file. It is not even running for another model which ran through successfully in the past and given me the report. Any clue?

    Hi prkr,

Not sure if this service required a model store or separate models in the zip file. Have you tried both? If you do expect results, you can also contact Microsoft Support as they know whether everything is still working correctly.

    Hi Andre,

I tried with zip file, it gets uploaded and also analysis reaches to "Completed" state as well but no results and reports :(

Once you have exported a model file, you have to upload it in .zip file format. Please use the below link as reference:

    Hope it helps!!!

    Hi prkr,

Did you put the model in a zip file and uploaded the compressed file?
