Cannot Assign Lot No. in Item Tracking Lines in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013

Hi there,

I met an issue that user cannot press on Assign Lot No. in Item Tracking Lines then prompt an error message: "The operation could not complete because a record in the No. Series Line table was locked by another user. Please retry the activity.". Why this error occurred? Anybody meet this issue and how to solve it?

    2) Maybe some user open this table and not close it. Or maybe someone make customization, but not compile table.

    I cannot give precisely answer, because I don't see your database. I propse you can run debuger and see where is a problem.

    If you have customization, usually problem is in custom code (my experience).

    Could you explain the 2nd statement above?

    Yes, we did some customization in Item Tracking. But, is it the problem to caused this issue?

    1) Look at 'Open' field on No. Series Lines. It must be marked.

    2) Maybe someone really open and locked No. Series Lines.

    3) Have you make some customization on Item Tracking?

    First of all, thanks for replied message.

    This error message only prompt in Production Journal when Assign Lot No.. For your information, I got this error message on all items when press on assign lot no. button.

    Any solutions on this issue? Kindly advice. Thanks.

    Are you get this message on all items when you try to assign lot no? Or it is at only one?
